A Bradford teenager who assaulted police officers has been spared jail.
18-year-old Jordan Carter, who was described as “vulnerable” at Bradford Crown Court, admitted to two charges of assaulting a police officer and possessing an offensive weapon, and a single charge of assault by beating.
The charges related to two separate but similar incidents that took place in the centre of Shipley on 3 and 20 June. In the first incident police were called after Mr Carter threatened to hurt someone with a pole and a knife.
On both occasions Mr Carter was detained before lashing out and assaulting officers.
He has been ordered to live at a supported housing complex in Aireville Road, Frizinghall, and must comply with a six-month curfew.
