A Bradford man who twice provided false details to police after his car was caught speeding has received a suspended jail sentence.
A black Audi registered to Mohammed Shoaib Hussain, 25, of Park View Road, Bradford, was caught speeding on two occasions in in 2019.
It was spotted driving at 37 miles per hour (mph) in a 30mph zone on July 27, 2019; and 47mph in a 40mph zone on August 23, 2019.
After both incidents, Hussain, was sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) in which he claimed other people with no known connection to the vehicle had been driving.
Appearing before Bradford Magistrates Court yesterday (14th July), Hussain admitted two counts of perjury.
He was sentenced to six months imprisonment suspended for 12 months, ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and must pay £437 in fines and costs.
