Bradford has been named in the top 10 worst places in the UK for starting cancer treatment within the time set out by guidelines.
Hospitals are meant to start treatment within 62 days of an urgent referral by a GP in 85% of cases.
BBC research has revealed 94 out of 131 cancer services in England failed to do that during 2018-19 - compared with 36 five years ago.
The worst performing trust was Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, with only 60.8% of patients starting treatment within the 62 day window, with Bradford placed fifth with 67.1%.
