A boy has been charged after a man was dragged out of his car and attacked in a car park in Oldham.
A 15-year-old boy from Oldham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been bailed to appear at Tameside Youth Court on Tuesday 1 May 2018.
At 7.30pm on Thursday 22 March, police were called to Derker Metrolink Stop on Cromford Street to reports that a man in his 40s had been attacked.
The man was taken to hospital where he was found to have a fractured skull and badly severed ear. He is now in a stable condition at home.
A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains on bail pending further enquiries until 14 May 2018.
