The owner of the award winning Shajan Indian restaurant has instructed his solicitors to start court proceedings against a customer who claimed on social media to have discovered a mouse in their food.
The claim, which was posted on Facebook this week, was accompanied with a photo of a mouse in a plate of food and has been widely viewed and shared causing distress to Shajan Indian restaurant owner Mr Mohammed Ali (pictured with his many awards). The post and photo has since been removed from Facebook.
Mr Ali's solicitor Mr Michael Corrigan, of Farleys Solicitors denied the mouse had ever been anywhere near the restaurant, he told Sunrise Radio: “This is a malicious act by a person with a grudge against the restaurant's kitchen and we will looking to take court proceedings against them with the view to claiming damages.”
