Bingley Swimming Pool has managed to hold off closure after securing a grant.
The campaign group Friends of Bingley Pool received £5,880 from Bingley Town Council, to help in the fight to keep the pool open.
The pool, in Myrtle Place, is currently owned by Bradford council. They intend to close the 89-year-old building in 2020.
A period would then be triggered in which community groups and parish councils can express an interest in bidding for the property.
The grant will fund a feasibility study into acquiring the pool and an in-depth survey to assess the condition of the building’s plumbing, ventilation and electrics.
