Police are appealing for information following an attempted kidnap in Whalley Range, Manchester.
At around 5pm on Friday 20th January 2017, a 37-year-old woman approached Whitehorn Avenue and crossed the road; when a man suddenly appeared and grabbed her throat.
He pulled her towards him, but she managed to hit him with her bag, which caused him to release his grip.
The victim then escaped and ran home.
The man is described as white or mixed race, 5ft 11in tall, of slim build, with acne scars on the left side of his face.
He was wearing a plain black baseball cap, a dark hooded top which was bunched up at the back, and dark pants.
