Police have arrested a 28-year-old man following reports of online abuse directed at a Doncaster Rovers player
Bradford District Police confirmed the arrest on suspicion of a malicious communications offence. The man remains in custody while enquiries continue. West Yorkshire Police are working closely with both Bradford City AFC and Doncaster Rovers Football Club as part of the ongoing investigation. Officers have reiterated that abusive or threatening behaviour, whether online or in person, will not be tolerated and will be dealt with robustly.
The club reiterates its zero-tolerance policy around any form of discrimination.
