An arrest has been made after a gun was shot in the air in Gorton.
At around 11.05pm on Wednesday 1 August, it was reported to police that a man had discharged what is believed to be a handgun in the air, whilst riding away on a scooter.
This was after he shouted racial slurs at a woman in her 20s as she went to her car on Heathcoate Road and is the second incident in one week where four men on scooters have been seen in the area, some wearing helmets and brandishing hammers.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, possession of an offensive weapon, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of Class A drugs with the intent to supply.
