Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Bowling Park, Bradford yesterday morning.
The incident happened at 0810 am as the victim was walking through the park. Officers would like to speak with a man who was seen immediately prior to the incident to be sat on a bench near a footpath close to Park Side Road.
The victim was assaulted and a bag and mobile phone were stolen. Thankfully, the victim did not require medical treatment. The phone has since been recovered and officers are appealing for anyone who finds a bag – described as a handbag - or discarded contents that appear out of place within or near to Bowling Park to get in contact.
The man made off in the direction of Burras Street and enquiries into the incident remain at an early stage.
