Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed on his way home from celebrating New Year’s Eve.
The 27-year old victim stepped out of a taxi on Bristol Road at around 3.30am on the 1st of January to use a cash machine outside Seoul Plaza in Birmingham when he was attacked.
He was taken to hospital by the taxi driver and underwent emergency surgery; he remains in hospital in a stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
An 18-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife and has been remanded in prison ahead of a court appearance which will be taking place on the 3rd of February.
