Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Huddersfield.
At around 1.20pm on Sunday 28 March, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Birkby Hall Road, Huddersfield.
The pedestrian, an 8 year-old child, sustained serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
The vehicle is believed to be a silver 3 door Vauxhall Corsa manufactured around 2002/2003 that stopped at the scene initially and then left in the direction of Wheathouse Road.
Officers are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward and assist with enquiries. Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, particularly those who have CCTV or dash cam footage.
