Will Deepika Padukone not attend Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding?

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Shuja’s wedding has finally been confirmed by the family and the couple themselves.

Yesterday, the Kapoor family released an official statement about the wedding which is to take place on May 7th and 8th in Mumbai. The statement read, “The Kapoor & Ahuja families, the Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”

While Sonam is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ with less than a week to the D-day, the preparations at the Kapoor residence is going on in full swing. With the villa decorated with beautiful lights, the families have also distributed the chic-looking wedding invitations to the guests.

While the Bachchan family, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ranveer Singh and many other celebs are expected to attend the wedding, it looks like Deepika Padukone is going to give the wedding a miss owing to her work commitments. Both Sonam and Deepika will be walking down the Cannes red carpet this year, representing the same beauty brand that they endorse. As per reports, Deepika will be making her appearance at the French Riviera on May 10th and 11th and Sonam will reportedly attend the festival on May 14th and 15th.
