Wait! Was Amrita Singh Angry with Saif Ali Khan?

Of late there has been news that certain B-town parents are not too happy with their little ones joining the industry.

In an interview with DNA newspaper, Sridevi spoke openly about how she was not too happy about Jhanvi making her Bollywood debut. She expressed her discomfort saying, “As a parent, one is naturally protective of their children and you are literally exposing them to the world.”

Finding himself in a similar situation to Sridevi is Saif Ali Khan. Considering Sara is also soon to make her debut, in Kedarnath, the doting daddy spoke openly about his fears in an interview with DNA newspaper. He was quoted saying, “Fear is the most driving factor in the industry. Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn’t she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this? I am not looking down on acting, it’s just it is not the most stable profession.”

His statement on acting being an unstable profession was blown out of proportion, with people taking about how he was uncomfortable with Sara’s decision. It didn’t end here!

Besides getting people talking, Saif’s statement also irked ex-wife Amrita Singh, who has been the driving force behind Sara’s debut, accompanying her meetings and guiding her along the way. A source revealed to DNA, that the comment didn’t go down well with Amrita. He said, “She told him it was an irresponsible thing to say considering Sara is about to embark on a film career.” He also further revealed, “Saif didn’t want to be dragged into an argument, so he mumbled that he was ‘quoted out of context’ and calmed down his former wife.” Ouch!
