Salman Khan beats Shahrukh Khan in 2016 Forbes India Celebrity 100 list.

Salman Khan emerges as a clear winner, Beats Shahrukh Khan in 2016 Forbes India Celebrity 100 list.

The Forbes India Celebrity 100 list for 2016 is out and guess what..? Salman KhanHYPERLINK "http://www.bollywoodlife.com/celeb/Salman-Khan/" has beaten Shah Rukh Khan who was the top contender last year. Not just SRK, Salman has also beaten the likes of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Salman’s film Sultan was a superhit at the box office and it collected an impressive Rs 300.45 crore at the box office. The film was not only a hit at the box office but also got the viewer’s raving. Sultan is the highest grosser of 2016. No wonder Bhai has managed to top the list. Last year, Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo managed to become one of the highest earning films. Last year, Sallu bagged the second position while SRK was on the first position. The tables have turned this time with Salman taking the lead and SRK following him on number two.

For all those who don’t know, the Forbes celebrity list includes cricketers and actors. Aamir Khan, who was on the fifth position last year, is nowhere among the top 10 contenders in the list this time. He is on the 12th position this year and that’s probably because he didn’t have a single release throughout the year and neither did he have any brand endorsements. The basic criteria for being in the Forbes Celebrity List is based on the total earnings of the celeb for that respective year and their fame on social media. The period under consideration for both was October 1, 2015, to September 30, 2016.

While Salman has bagged the first position, SRK is on number two followed by Indian Test captain Virat Kohli on number three. Akshay Kumar is on the fourth position and followed by MS Dhoni on fifth and Deepika Padukone on the sixth position.
