Priyanka Chopra’s Manager Reflects on Star’s Hollywood Breakthrough

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s longtime manager has revealed how years of work went into establishing the Indian actress in Hollywood before her breakthrough with Quantico.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s longtime manager Anjula Acharia has reflected on the actress’s journey from Indian cinema to becoming one of the most recognisable Indian stars working internationally.

Acharia revealed that establishing Priyanka in the American entertainment industry involved around seven years of work, with the actress initially pursuing opportunities in music before achieving her major US acting breakthrough with television series Quantico.

Speaking about Priyanka’s success, Acharia described the actress as the “best thing to come out of India after yoga”, highlighting what she believes Priyanka's career has meant for Indian representation internationally.

Priyanka became the lead of Quantico in 2015, a role which significantly raised her profile with American audiences and helped pave the way for a growing career in Hollywood.

The actress has since worked across both film and television internationally while maintaining her connections with Indian cinema.

Her upcoming projects include the sci-fi action film Bluefly, alongside Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe, while she is also returning to Indian cinema in S.S. Rajamouli’s Varanasi alongside Mahesh Babu.
