Katrina Kaif reveals the reason why she decided to be part of Salman Khan's 'Bharat'

Salman Khan's 'Bharat' is one of the most anticipated films of the upcoming years.

The film recently made headlines as Priyanka Chopra walked out due to personal reasons. Later the makers signed Katrina Kaif for the same role.

Recently Katrina was present at an event and she was asked how excited she was to work with director Ali Abbas Zafar again. To this, the actress said "Ali Abbas Zafar is a very dear friend of mine. We worked together first in 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and then we did 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. Both of the films were extremely successful and more importantly, they were experiences which for me were wonderful and I really enjoyed working with him. When he contacted me, he said Katrina... he calls me Goldfish. He said, 'Goldfish, I'm gonna send you a script. Just react to me and tell me what you think.' I read the script and I thought it was an absolutely wonderful script. I was extremely excited about the character and very happy to be part of the film."

Later the actress was asked if she was worried about replacing Priyanka in the film. To this, she said "The way that I have chosen my films has always been purely based on the script and what the character is. So, for me, it is extremely exciting to be working with the team again. It's a wonderful script and I completely love the character that I am playing."

'Bharat' is an official adaptation of a South Korean film titled 'An Ode To My Father'. Produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, 'Bharat' will hit the screens on Eid 2019.
