I always felt less hotter whenever Fawad was in the room: Ranbir Kapoor

It’s been quite some time since we last feasted our eyes on Fawad Khan on the big screen. After making his Bollywood debut with Khoobsuratopposite Sonam Kapoor, the Humsafar heartthrob reached another milestone when he was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Muskil.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which stars Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was helmed by the ace director Karan Johar.

While Fawad only had a small but imperative role in the movie, Johar never shied away from singing praises for the actor.

Now, his co-star, Ranbir, has opened up about his equation with the Zindagi Gulzar Hai star – and it surely is adorable!

In an interview with AIB, Ranbir revealed that after the Uri attacks, as the tensions between the neighbouring countries worsened, a week before the release of the movie, people suggested that they should re-shoot the portion of the movie where Fawad was cast.

“What people don’t understand is that film-making takes time. It takes around three to four months to get a perfect potion of that movie,” he shared.

He also talked about Fawad and his experience on working with him: “I love Fawad as an actor, I love his contribution to the film. Before the release people were really angry about Fawad being in the movie. But listen, this is talent, man. This is art. There’s no politics. He has not done anything, we haven’t done anything.”

He went on to say, “He’s a great talent, his contribution is also huge. He’s got a huge fan following irrespective of the political climate.”

When asked if he ever felt like the less hot person whenever Fawad was in the room, Ranbir quipped, “For sure! Especially Karan! Karan is obsessed with Fawad!”

Talking about Karan and Fawad, Ranbir said, “You have no idea the kind of love he feels for him! Suddenly when he was on set, me and Anushka were pushed aside, and he’s giving Fawad direction and then slips on to me and Anushka, “Yeah, go ahead!”

“But with Fawad, he was giving him layers, like his costume must be worked on, his hair should look perfect!” he added.

Karan himself has confessed that he would always choose Fawad over Ranbir!
 

According to Times of India, KJo was asked to pick his favourite between the two. And the film-maker’s choice was clear – Fawad. Karan said, “I am going to go with Fawad because he is the new novelty and Ranbir knows I am going to go with Fawad.”
