The trailer for Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt’s new coming-of-age romantic comedy Don’t Be Shy has arrived, introducing four emerging actors in a story of first love, friendship and growing up.
The first trailer for Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt's upcoming production Don't Be Shy has been unveiled ahead of the film's streaming debut later this month.
The young-adult romantic comedy stars Aarushi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora and Ansh Duggal, alongside Kunaal Roy Kapur, Neha Dhupia, Anurag Basu and Anju Alva Naik.
Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, the film centres on Shyamili "Shy" Das, played by Aarushi Bajaj, a young woman who believes she has carefully mapped out the perfect life for herself.
Things begin to unravel when her boyfriend Mayank ends their three-year relationship. What initially looks like a plan for revenge develops into a more complicated story of friendship, relationships and Shy's changing understanding of herself.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse at the film's mix of romance, heartbreak and the difficult choices that come with growing up.
Don't Be Shy is produced by Alia and Shaheen Bhatt through Eternal Sunshine Productions, in association with Chalkboard Entertainment. Alia also serves as a creative producer on the project.
The film continues Alia's work behind the camera as a producer while placing four younger performers at the centre of the story.
Don't Be Shy will premiere on Prime Video in India on 25 September 2026.
