Five highlights of HUM Awards in Lahore you don't want to Miss!

The fifth HUM Awards took place in Lahore, Pakistan and we have got the best moments for all of you who missed or look forward to watching it on-air.

Salman Ahmed joined Junaid Jamshed's sons, Babar and Taimur to pay a touching tribute to their father who they tragically lost last year in a plane crash. The entire audience gave a standing ovation in respect to voice of Dil Dil Pakistan.

In its fifth year, HUM Awards went one step forward in recognising young achievers and gave a special award to 26-year old, Samina Baig for being the first Pakistani to climb seven peaks in the world.

While the Pakistani film and TV industry now touches sensitive social issues to raise awareness in society, it is important that people who work hard to get the message across are rewarded as well. Arisha, more popularly known as Zebo, played a victim of child sexual abuse in the TV drama, Udaari which aimed to raise awareness about such incidents. For a child, playing such a character and touching on such a taboo topic was not an easy job. HUM Awards recognized Arisha's performance and her part in getting this important message across to people worldwide, and awarded her with the Best Child Actor award. Ahsan Khan, who plays the abuser in Udaari and also received two awards for the Best Actor Male and Best Actor in a Negative Role categories, presented Arisha with her award. The actor has been vocal about the issue on his social media platforms and he was thrilled that his work was recognized in such a big way.

The award show didn't fall behind on appreciating veteran artists either. Reema, a popular actress from the Pakistan film industry, along with the HUM team awarded Farida Khanum, also known as the Queen of Ghazal, with a Lifetime Achievement award.

Coke Studio stars, Ali Sethi, Asim Azhar and Momina Mustehsan joined legendary singer Sajjad Ali for a fun-filled performance. A hint of Ali Sethi's heart-hitting voice, Asim and Momina's Coke Studio duo and Sajjad Ali's classic songs, made a perfect recipe for the best performance of the night and got the audience dancing to the beats. The show ended spectacularly with the crowd cheering while the celebrities gathered on stage to take a 'classic' selfie.
