Emraan Hashmi Teases Awarapan 3 After Awarapan 2 Release

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi has excited fans by suggesting a third Awarapan film could be on the way, as he celebrates his return to the franchise nearly two decades after the original.

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi has teased the possibility of an Awarapan 3 following the cinema release of Awarapan 2.

Hashmi made the comments during a promotional visit to a cinema alongside Disha Patani, who stars with him in the newly released sequel.

Addressing fans and thanking them for their support, Hashmi suggested another instalment could follow, saying he hoped Awarapan 3 would happen “very soon”. However, a third film has not yet been officially confirmed.

Awarapan 2 marks Hashmi's return to the franchise almost 20 years after the original Awarapan was released in 2007.

The original developed a strong following over the years, making Hashmi's return to the character and franchise one of the key talking points surrounding the sequel.

The latest film stars Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani in the lead roles.

Reaction from fans at the promotional appearance was enthusiastic when Hashmi raised the prospect of continuing the series, although audiences will have to wait to see whether plans for a third film become official
