Diljit Dosanjh reveals his preparation for Soorma

    Ahead of the upcoming release of Soorma, Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh in the film, speaks about the vigorous training he went through and reveals the five things he did in order to become Sandeep Singh.

    1. Diljit began by changing his sleeping routine for the duration of the film shoot. This included waking up early in the morning for training and get an early night in order to get enough rest. 

    2. The second change Diljit made was to learn all about hockey from Sandeep Singh himself. Diljit watched every match Sandeep Sir played in, and even learnt Sandeep Singh’s signature hockey move. 

    3. Diljit Dosanjh also held very close relations with Sandeep Singh and his family in order to fully learn and understand his preferences, habits and persona. 

    4. Diljit also pushed his limits to undergo a large physical transformation and fully commit himself to this role for the film. 

    5. Last, but not least, Diljit took extra care to take care of his diet and enjoy a more balanced and healthy diet. It’s safe to say that Diljit Dosanjh and the entire crew of Soorma have worked hard on the authencity of the film. 

    Directed by Shaad AliSoorma the film also stars Tapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi and explores the incredibly inspiring journey of Sandeep Singh as he overcame obstacles to pursue his passion for hockey as well as the love of his life.
