Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most influential celebrities on Twitter and Facebook.
His fan following is more than most of Hollywood's top stars. Big B is also on other social networking sites like Linked-in and Instagram. So, we recently asked him about how he manages to be on so many platforms at the same time. The megastar says that there is a team who monitor and help his presence on social media.
He says that it is just a facility to connect with people. He thinks a celebrity or someone who gains some kind of public importance don’t get an opportunity to meet people who actually put them on such a pedestal.
If social media hadn't been there then, says the Piku actor, he wouldn't have been able to see, hear and meet people who actually go and see films and who show their love and affection. Social media has made that possible. Amitabh says that social media gives them an opportunity to talk, see and meet the person that they admire and it brings us closer together.
But at the same time, the Big B admits that social media is not always complimentary. There’s abuse and criticism.
He acknowledges that there will be people who would dislike you, abuse you and he welcomes them because nobody’s perfect. So, the superstar would rather let them stay than block them from his social media.
