Anil Kapoor wants Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa to team up again for a film

    Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa starrer 'City Lights' received a lot of appreciation from audiences and critics.

    The film was based on the British film 'Metro Manila' and revolved around the story of a poor farmer from Rajasthan who relocates to Mumbai in search of livelihood.

    As the film completed four years today Rajkummar Rao took to Twitter and wrote “#4YearsofCityLights. One of the most special films & special performances of my career. Lot of people ask me which is my best work & I could never answer bcz I feel my best is yet to come but #CityLights is def one of my most honest work. #HansalMehta @Patralekhaa9 @MaheshNBhatt,”

    Soon after this Anil Kapoor also took to Twitter and applauded Rajkummar and Patralekhaa for their performance in the film. Anil even said that he would love to see the couple on the screen again.

     

    Patralekhaa quickly responded to the tweet and wrote “Anil Sirrrr! You are the best.Thank youHal way thru #VeereDiWeeding and loving every bit of it.”

    On the work front, Rajkummar was last seen in Hansal Mehta's 'Omerta'. He played the role of the Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British passport holder of Pakistani origin. He was appreciated a lot by critics for his performance. Rajkummar will be next seen in 'Fanne Khan' along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor. The film is slated to hit the screens on July 13, 2018.
