Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is reportedly making his television hosting debut as the new face of popular crime series Crime Patrol.
Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is set to make his debut as a television host after taking over the upcoming season of popular crime anthology series Crime Patrol.
Devgn will replace long-standing host Anup Soni, with reports saying the actor has already filmed 15 episodes for the programme.
The first promotional material featuring Devgn has also been released ahead of the new season, which is scheduled to begin on 31 August.
It represents a new direction for the actor, whose career has largely centred on cinema despite being one of Bollywood's most recognisable stars.
Devgn joins a long list of major Bollywood names who have crossed over into television. Amitabh Bachchan became synonymous with Kaun Banega Crorepati, while Salman Khan has enjoyed a long-running television career through shows including Bigg Boss. Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have also previously hosted major programmes.
For Devgn, the move comes alongside his continuing film career and will give audiences a chance to see the actor in a different role away from the big screen.
