Thousands of trout have died after a water supply pipe was diverted in Bolton Abbey.
The American Rainbow Trout were kept at The Bolton Abbey Trout Hatchery, near Skipton. The essential water line is believed to have been altered over the weekend.
The change to the storage tank, which contained around 20,000 fish, meant that the water became devoid of oxygen, causing the trout to die.
Police are continuing investigations.
