The Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, is being questioned by police over 17 historic unsolved cases, ranging from the 1970s to the ‘80s.
Detectives have interrogated the serial killer at Durham prison, after the release of a book in 2015, which claimed to link Sutcliffe to 23 unsolved murders.
Now going by the name Peter Coonan, the 70-year-old was convicted of 13 murders and is serving a whole life sentence. It is reported that police will return to Durham prison later this month for further questioning.
