Police investigating a disturbance in the Heaton area of Bradford are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened between 5.00pm and 6.00pm in Highfield Gardens on Friday 9 February.
An attending police officer was struck with an object and attended hospital where he received treatment for cuts to his face.
Five males aged between 19 and 48 have been charged with offences relating to the incident and have been bailed to appear at court next month.
A sixth male has been released under investigation.
