Police investigating the shooting of a man in Salford have made an arrest.
Shortly before 9.25pm on Saturday 4 June 2016, a 33-year-old man was shot in the chest on Mill Hill in Little Hulton.
He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for a gunshot wound to the chest and remains in a stable condition.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A 39-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Detective Inspector Clare Devlin, of GMP's Salford borough, said: "We have dedicated extra patrols to Salford to try and prevent further incidents from taking place and also offer reassurance to the community that incidents like this will not be tolerated.
"We believe this is linked to other recent violent incidents in Salford between two organised crime groups in Little Hulton.
"Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone in the area at the time or anyone with information to come forward.
"We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a silver Peugeot driving around the area at the time."
