More than 25 businesses across West Yorkshire have become ‘bike friendly’.
The businesses have achieved Bike Friendly Business accreditation from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s CityConnect programme.
CityConnect has helped them with free consultation advice on how best to accommodate cyclists, making recommendations for bike parking and other provisions to suit each business such as shower or changing facilities.
Businesses have also received guidance on how to encourage cycling with bike training, maintenance sessions, route recommendations and promotional campaigns.
Eligible businesses can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 to help create an improved environment for cyclists.
