A man has been jailed for biting security guards at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Bradford Crown Court heard how Craig McConnell, 34, was under the influence of heroin and cocaine during the assaults on 5 January and had spent £4,000 on drugs in the weeks beforehand.
The prosecutor claimed one of the guards was so affected by the incident that he left his job.
McConnell pleaded guilty to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault, affray, and the possession of a bladed article.
He was jailed for two years and handed a restraining order banning him from the hospital for two years.
