A man was brutally beaten with a car wrench in Greater Manchester.
Police are now appealing for information following the assault and robbery in Shaw.
At around 1:55pm on Wednesday 21 June, police were called to Shaw Road Convenience Store to reports that two men had threatened a member of staff with a knife.
The offenders assaulted the man with a wrench before fleeing the scene in a silver Fiat Punto, with a quantity of stolen cash and cigarettes.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious head injuries where he remains in a stable condition.
Although the investigation is in its early stages, police believe this to be linked to a robbery that took place at the same shop on 18 June.
