The government announced £23.5m will be invested in local housing projects across Yorkshire and the Humber.
The Treasury claimed up to 4,000 potential new homes could be built by 6 council-led projects in the region.
The Government has committed to building 300,000 homes a year by the mid-2020s and says this latest investment will fund key local infrastructure projects including new roads, cycle paths, flood defences and land remediation work.
