Police are appealing for witnesses after a 75-year-old woman was racially abused and robbed on Birkby Road in Huddersfield.
The incident happened at around 1.10pm on Monday 5 February near to Brendon Drive. The victim was walking along the pavement when a man crossed the road towards her.
The man then shouted racial abuse at the victim and grabbed her walking stick and demanded her purse.
The two then struggled and the victim was pushed into a wall. She injured her knee as a result.
The victim handed over her purse before a witness intervened.
The suspect is described as white and approximately 25-years-old.
