The deputy leader of The Green Party visited Bradford College to encourage young people to get involved in politics.

Amelia Womak, who was elected deputy leader of the party in 2014 at the age of 29, spoke to students about how and why they should take an interest in local and national politics.

Tuition fees, zero-hours contracts, the minimum voting age, housing and the environment were all discussed in a question and answer session that followed her talk.

She told the students that by getting involved in politics they could help bring about change for their generation and urged them to stand in college elections or as a local councillor.
