Greater Manchester Police have revealed a baby was in a car when a man was shot and seriously injured while driving in Salford.
The shooting took place on Eccles New Road in Pendleton, at the junction with Langworthy Road, at about 2.40pm on Tuesday 30 April.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital for a gunshot wound to the chest. He remains there in a serious condition.
The police said the shooter was riding a motorbike and the child was uninjured, in what they believe is a “targeted attack”.
