Police are appealing for information after a large amount of Asian gold jewellery was stolen in a burglary in Leeds.
Burglars stole a small safe containing the jewellery when they broke into a house in North Lane, Roundhay, at about 9.40am on Wednesday, August 10.
PC Anita Hazell, of Leeds District Crime Team, said: "The jewellery that was stolen is worth a significant amount of money but is also of great sentimental value to the victims who are understandably upset that it has been stolen."
"Some of the items are quite distinctive, as seen in the photographs (one of which is shown), and we would like to hear from anyone who has been offered any Asian jewellery like this for sale since August 10 or who has any information that could assist the investigation."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 6294 Hazell at Elland Road via 101 quoting crime number 13160343531 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
