Detectives in Huddersfield are issuing an image of a man they want to speak with in connection with an assault in the town centre.
Huddersfield CID would like to speak to anyone who can identify the man pictured following an assault at Cross Church Street on Saturday July 23rd.
The incident occurred around 4.30am on Saturday July 23 after a 30-year-old man and the suspect intervened in an ongoing altercation between two other men on Cross Church Street.
The 30-year-old was assaulted by the suspect and received serious leg injuries which required hospital treatment.
Detective Constable Craig Foulkes at Kirklees CID said; "I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to come forward with any information they may have.
"Enquiries into this assault remain ongoing and anyone who recognises the man or who has any information should contact Huddersfield CID on 101 referencing crime number 13160315800.
"Information can also be given anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
