22 people charged following Bradford police operation

Police investigating the supply lines of Class A drugs in Bradford District have charged 22 people.

The 20 men and two women were all arrested and charged with offences related to the supply of Class A drugs last week.

They were bailed to appear before magistrates next month.

The arrests took place during a week of warrants across the district and into other areas such as Leeds and Kirklees.

As well as seizing more than £15,000 worth of drugs, the warrants also resulted in the recovery of property, vehicles, clothing and around £2,000 in cash.

The operation was led by Bradford’s Programme Precision Team, who were supported by officers and staff from across West Yorkshire Police.

Detective Inspector Matthew Walker, who led the operation, said: “We are committed to tackling those involved in the supply of drugs in Bradford District.

“The people of Bradford are fed up of drug dealing taking place on the streets of Bradford which tarnishes the reputation of this city.”
