You don’t mess around with Vidya Balan. While celebrities are known to fly off the handle every time they have a run-in with the press, the Tumhari Sulu actress sure knows how to shut up a naysayer in the politest manner.
Recently, a journalist posed a rather awkward question to Vidya by asking her if she wishes to continue acting in ‘women-centric’ films or if is she planning to lose weight (the implication here being that she is shying away from ‘glamourous’ roles because of her weight).
Perplexed and offended with the statement and its attached judgement, Vidya maintained her cool and snapped back by saying, “I am perfectly happy with the kind of work that I’m doing. If only your perception changes, that will help.”
