Varun Dhawan has managed to win hearts by his performance in 'October', and now the actor is gearing up for his upcoming period drama, 'Kalank'.
Reportedly, the actor is one of the few from his generation who has managed to deliver back-to-back hits. His last movie managed to open to Rs 5 crore.
Apparently, Varun feels humbled by the response he has got from the audience for his last movie. According to the actor since he did not promote the movie much, he did not expect this sort of love and affection from the audience.
He was quoted as saying, "Shoojit da (Sircar, the director) didn't want to give out any information. So, keeping these factors in mind, we had expected this figure. In fact, many people didn't even know that the film was releasing. If you ask me, the film really released on day two, when we saw a 65 per cent jump in collection. Also, I don't agree with suggestions that this film isn't for everybody. No matter who watches it, she/he will inevitably be moved on some level."
