Umer Sharif is Out of Danger, Clarifies Son

Several images of comedian Umer Sharif circulated around social media with the caption of ‘serious condition’. After the news went viral, his son, Jawad Sharif, clarified that his father is doing well and that he was unwell due to fever and chest infection.

“He is better now. Doctors have prescribed him some tests and medicines,” said Jawad.

Later on, it was found that the image of Umer Sharif on the hospital bed which is being circulated is almost a year old when he was admitted in a serious condition but recovered.

Allegedly Jawad was of the opinion that his father should be taken home once test results come in and he is cleared by the medical professionals.

“Tests were conducted in the morning today and we have been told that results will be disclosed on [Thursday] evening,” he said.
