Avinesh Rekhi, who became a heartthrob of many for his character of Uma in Star Plus’ popular show, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji, is all set to send the temperatures soaring by posing bare-bodied like John Abraham from Dostana.
The current plot of the story revolves around the way Uma (Avinesh Rekhi) and Kanak (Rhea Sharma) will expose Maasi Sa (Sadiya Siddiqui) and prove Uma’s innocence.
The show’s current track is based in Bangkok and in this plot, there is a sequence where Uma has to distract Maasi Sa’s gay manager to help Kanak figure out the truth. Uma raised the temperature high by flaunting a bare-bodied look with just a red trunk underneath. Moreover, he looked oh-so-hot in his well-toned abs. While speaking about the sequence, Avinesh told a leading entertainment portal, “I worked hard on those abs so that I could look good on-screen. I was asked to replicate John Abraham’s scene from Dostana where he flaunts part of his buttocks. Apart from being super nervous to replicate the actor himself, I was excited to get an opportunity to play John Abraham on-screen.”
While Uma has always been playing an orthodox dhoti clad character, this drastic change will surely give the viewers something new. This is not the first time Avinesh has recreated a Bollywood look. Previously, Prabhas’ waterfall sequence from Baahubali was recreated for his entry. Moreover, Avinesh and Rhea also had an intimate scene, where the makers created Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Ang Laga De Re from Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.
