Soorma, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu in titular roles, tells the story of the international hockey player Sandeep Singh, who was paralysed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006.
Under his captaincy, India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
The Soorma Anthem has finally been released with the music created by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The track has been sung by Shankar Mahadevan and the lyrics have been penned by none other than Gulzar. The video features glimpses from the earlier released trailer showing Sandeep Singh's hardships and determination.
Written and directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh will be released worldwide on 13thJuly 2018.
