Ranveer Singh’s next release is touted to be a cop-themed comic caper titled as 'Simmba'.
Sara Ali Khan has also been roped in as the female lead for the film and rumours were rife that R Madhavan will be playing the baddy in the Rohit Shetty directorial.
Unfortunately, that did not come to pass and Maddy revealed the reason for his absence in the film.
Taking to Twitter, the actor clarified to his fans that he had to bow out of the project due to a shoulder injury. Apparently, Maddy injured his shoulder during a gym session and had to undergo surgery to get it fixed.
It seems that the doctors have advised him complete rest for two months which makes being a part of the action film impossible. Here is what he wrote: “Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.”
