Looks like Bollywood is inspired by Pakistani music and singers.
Once we heard that Qurat ul Ain Balouch was roped in for Amitabh Bachchan's film PINK, we couldn't wait to hear the singer's Bolly debut.
The Coke Studio singer lent vocals for the film's track 'Kaari Kaari' and it's truly an emotional song. PINK is a courtroom drama-thriller in which Amitabh Bachchan plays a lawyer who fights the case of three women who were assaulted by some very influential men.
The video for the song shows clips of the film and Arora (played by Taapsee Pannu) and her roommates lip-syncing to QB's voice.
QB's voice is powerful, no surprise there. The melody is soft and the slow beat helps highlight the powerful lyrics (Ae Khuda tuu gum hai kahan). The hard-hitting track for the film along with the video where the women are shown staring in the distance or breaking the fourth wall while singing the lyrics have us waiting impatiently for what seems to be a very riveting movie.
PINK is set for release on 16th September.
