The director, who had earlier expressed how much he missed Fawad, confessed to wishing he was there with him at IIFA 17.
Shakun Batra, who worked with Fawad Khan in his last Bollywood venture, Kapoor & Sons, recently expressed how much he missed his Pakistani friend and how he'd love to collaborate on a project with him once again.
According to a leading Indian daily, Batra, who was spotted at the IIFA awards ceremony 2017, was reported as saying, “I spoke to him (Fawad) yesterday. I miss him and I wish he was here. Last year, we both were here together at IIFA. Unfortunately, we all know what happened,” confessed Batra, referring to the unfortunate Uri attacks.
Batra further added how he wished things would get better between the two countries and collaborations can start once again. Time and time again Shakun Batra has admitted how much he enjoyed working with Fawad Khan and that he would love to work with the amazing actor once again, if given the chance.
Shakun Batra has enjoyed being mentored by Karan Johar, since he's the one who introduced Batra to the film industry. His last outing, Kapoor & Sons, starred Fawad Khan alongside Siddharth Malhotra and Aliya Bhatt and did amazingly well at the box office.
It seems like Fawad Khan has really made some great friends across the border, who miss the man immensely. And that of course can't be helped much unless collaboration windows open once again between the two countries. We hope to see the hunk starring in a mega project across the border a hundred times more.
