Ofcom has awarded the small-scale DAB multiplex licence for Derby to Derby DAB Limited, with Sunrise Radio and Sunrise Radio Gold set to broadcast on the new digital platform.
A new digital radio multiplex licence has been awarded for Derby.
Media regulator Ofcom has confirmed that Derby DAB Limited has won the small-scale DAB licence for the city.
The new multiplex will allow a range of local, regional and community radio stations to broadcast digitally across Derby.
Among the stations set to join the platform are Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire) and Sunrise Radio Gold, expanding their reach to listeners across the Derby area.
The licence forms part of a nationwide rollout of small-scale DAB networks aimed at increasing choice for listeners and supporting local radio broadcasting.
