Ajay Devgan and Kajol will reunite onscreen after seven years

Ajay Devgan and his wife, actress Kajol are coming together onscreen after almost a decade, reported Deccan Chronicle.

The couple have paired up to be part of an upcoming comedy. Reportedly the film will be a "family entertainer with a social message."

The film, which was initially meant to be directed by Raj Sarthi, will now be directed by Mardaani director Pradeep Sarkar after having been shelved for some time.

"Things didn't work out with Raj Sarthi and now Pradeep Sarkar will be directing that film with me and Kajol in it," confirmed the Singham Returns actor.

Indian Express got in touch with Sarkar and he confirmed the news: "Yes, we are doing a film with Ajay Devgn and Kajol, and we will start shooting soon too. I will be in a state to tell more soon, but for now I can only express happiness that we are working together."

The couple have worked together in more than 10 films since 1995. Their last film together was Toonpur Ka Superrhero in 2010.
