Actress Koena Mitra Sexually Harassed Over the Phone, Files Complaint!

Does the name Koena Mitra ring a bell? She worked in a few films, like Apna Sapna Money Money and Heyy Babyy.

The 33-year-old actress recently logged a complaint with the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai, after she received a call from an unknown person, asking to take her out. The actress registered a sexual harassment complaint on Saturday 26 July, after she received nearly 40-50 unknown calls the past week. According to a report on Mid-Day, after Koena finally decided to answer the phone, the caller started abusing her, following which he asked her on a night out, offering her money!

Commenting on the issue, an officer said, “We have booked the caller under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC and are investigating the case further.”

This sounds deeply disturbing! We hope the culprit is caught soon, and Koena is left in peace.
